In Homecoming, although the water around Wish Ariel was visual effects, the crew had to spray JoAnna Garcia Swisher with a hose so she would be wet and it would appear real. According to the director, this was a little chilling for her because the scene was filmed late at night.

In A Wondrous Place, for the exterior scenes in Agrabah, a couple of dump trucks worth of sand were dumped into a green screen space right before the Season Six Christmas break, enough to cover the whole surface by about 1–2 feet. Unfortunately, thanks to Vancouver's rainy climate, the sand was wet, and they couldn't shoot a desert scene on wet sand. To solve the problem, the crew brought in industrial fans that ran 24 hours a day over the Christmas break so that the sand would be dry by the time they got back from the holidays to shoot the scenes in January.

In The Jolly Roger, JoAnna Garcia Swisher had never slapped anyone on-screen before, so when they were shooting the scene where Ariel slaps Hook, Colin O'Donoghue told her to go for it. At one point during filming, she slapped him on the neck instead of his face.

In Dark Hollow, the beach scene with Ariel and Belle was filmed in Garry Point Park, a large 75 acres waterfront park, located close to Steveston Village.

In Ariel, the ball dance sequence between Ariel and Eric was shot in eight hours.
