In A Wondrous Place, the scene with Aladdin and Jasmine rowing on the lake was actually filmed on dry land inside a studio. The water and the surrounding forest was added digitally in post-production.

In A Wondrous Place, the genie pants Deniz Akdeniz wore for this episode had to be fitted with an electric heating device due to the cold weather they experienced during filming. Colin O'Donoghue asked if they could do the same with his costume, but his jeans were too tight-fitting to fit a heating device underneath and the actor got quite cold. The boots Aladdin is wearing during his time as a genie are modified jeweled boots from the Canadian retailer Aldo.

In I’ll Be Your Mirror, Aladdin and Jasmine are talking about their old friend, the genie, who is gone and free now. This is a reference to the late Robin Williams, who voiced the Genie in Disney's Aladdin.

The original title of Street Rats was "Diamond in the Rough" another term used about Aladdin in the Disney film. The original title was leaked by director Norman Buckley via his Instagram account on August 11, 2016 and can also be seen on concept art by illustrator Douglas McLean. The same day, Adam Horowitz officially announced that the title was "Street Rats" via his Twitter account. Leading up to the premiere several sources incorrectly used the name "Diamond in the Rough".
