My impression is that Red Riding Hood had been Granny's obedient, virginal girl and in Maine, Ruby had become a "slut" as Granny put it. The opposite of who she was. They all have lost a part of themselves when the Curse was cast.
And yes. It was THAT LOOK that was cast between them. I love my icon but its quick and doesn't do it justice. Not to be nuts but the one way to sum up how I feel that moment went down is to quote Nicki Minaj with "he just gotta give me that look, when you give me that look, then the panties comin' off."

I think your theory (?) about how they all lost parts of themselves makes perfect sense. It may also explain why Regina decided to adopt a child? That part still has me a little confused (along with the entire rest of the show.. all 2 freaking episodes of it wtf).
LOL! Don't beat yourself up! I'm not a huge Jennifer fan so I paid attention to everyone but her...plus I rewatched the pilot 4 times and the 9min promo three times before episode 2 debuted. I'm wayyy too obsessed with this show.
I'm glad you like my theory! It also has been stated over again that Regin/Queen will have a Void she will NEVER fill so no matter what she even in her "victory" she will suffer. It was a dual ended sword but she didn't care.
And XD I can't believe I quoted NIcki as I'm far to white to pull it off in real life. (But I'll just chalk it up to seeing her on the Femme Fatale tour this summer) But she said it wisely and I felt it was fitting for that moment ;)
