A Taste of the Heights introduces Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog.

In A Taste of the Heights, Hilda being a baker is a reference to the original "Hansel and Gretel" fairytale, where the witch bakes the children who visit her gingerbread house. In addition, Hilda works on a gingerbread house when Rogers and Weaver drop by and her bakery contains gingerbread houses and gingerbread.

The "Skin Deep" shots of Gaston in the recap were re-filmed for "Her Handsome Hero" with Wes Brown.

The line, "I am Sir Gaston, and you, beast, have taken..." was changed to "I am Sir Gaston, and you, beast, have taken my love."

The new line is based on the version that was originally scripted for the Season One episode "Skin Deep", where Gaston says, "I am sir Gaston. I fight for honor. For freedom. For love. And you, Beast, have taken my love. That shall not stand. For now you will taste the cold steel of my blade ––"

Wes Brown replaced Sage Brocklebank in the role of Gaston in Season Five. However, Sage was seen again in Season Seven in archive footage from Season One. It makes him one of two cast members with the longest gap between their first and second appearances, with one hundred and twenty-one episodes separating "Skin Deep" and "Beauty".

(The other is Chris Shields, who portrays the Military Advisor.)

Last night we were watching Cold Case (S7 E15 Two Weddings). It's been a long time since I've seen the show so I was pleasantly surprised to see Noah Bean (Daniel, Regina's first love) and Sean Maguire (Robin Hood) playing best friends in the episode. SM had a pretty decent America accent in it and they had a couple scenes together. Here is the ending featuring both of them. (The show is on HBO Max if anyone wants to see it.)
