So this is the last episode of this half of the season. We are back in Story Brook. The gang sorted out who is who. Something was stolen, someone was lost, and something was found.

Now what? What is next for our heroes?

This post is for speculation not spoilers please. This is for you to spin your ideas for the show based on everything we have seen including the trailer for next week and any mini videos that they put up during the week.

The press release was basically rubbish this week for figuring anything out other than who is in the episode but it is behind the cut for your perusal.

I am going to put my specs behind the cut because I didn’t last week and I had figured out what happened at the town line. Or maybe in the comments, I can be capricious that way.

Press release from the ABC press pass area. FYI there are some cool photos there as well most of which have shown up on IMDB.

“Going Home” – In the Winter Finale episode, the race is on to stop Pan from enacting another curse on the residents of Storybrooke, which could kill every living soul in town, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

And here are my thoughts on the episode.

If they are, yet again, going to enact the curse. Let it is be interesting. May be they just remember their Enchanted Lives but are stuck in our land without magic however that would get boring pretty fast.

Who’s heart is Pan going to use to enact the curse? For me it is a tie between Felix ( his favorite lost boy) and Rumple. I am betting Felix because we know that Pan really doesn’t care about his son. He has proven that a couple of time. Of course if we were to extrapolate then the only heart that would work would be his own since he loves himself so much. And does he have a heart right now? Regina removed Henry’s so did he timelord and have two?

I don’t think the Blue Fairy is truly out. I also think the only way this is going to work is for Tink to believe in herself again.

I am really hoping that we don’t have half a season of Rumple and Belle in reverse. Belle remembers and Rumple doesn’t. I know in soap operas do this all the time but I would like them to have more than one episode together.

I think they set up the Hook/Swan/Bae triangle where I am interested.

I want more Regina and Tink and I am hoping that Robin Hood shows up in the second half. Regina does deserve some happiness.

I think Regina, Rumple and Emma will use their magic together to stop the curse. I also agree that Pan will probably use Felix's heart to enact the curse. But then I wonder how powerful it will actually be since Pan is so self-centered and only loves himself. I don't see him using his own heart because he wants Storybrooke to be the New Neverland.

Somehow they'll have to get Henry and Pan switched back into their proper bodies.

Maybe Blue's shadow will be returned to her by Tink. Then Blue would have to accept Tink as she is, right?

Personally, I want more Regina/Emma and more Charming Family moments.

I do think Rumple is going to kill his father to stop Pan once and for all.

Whatever happens, I feel like it is going to be super intense and probably leave us with some kind of cliff-hanger.

I agree that there will be a cliff hanger, I do hope they stop the curse because if they don't I;ll be annoyed I don't want the show to go backwards. I want to see more Emma and Regina doing magic together, more moments with Emma and her family and right now I am so about her and Hook lol

Me too.
But then they have to come up with some New Great Menace to keep the show going (and maybe further than for 1 more season). I'm curious what it could be if not the curse again. Surely they are not going to show us the folks trying to #saveHenryFromPan'sBody for next 11 eps., are they?

I feel a bit bad for how much I love the idea of the curse being re-enacted. It's just, I really, really loved the season 1 setting, depensing on how much Pan could alter it, I wouldn't mind returning to soemthing of the sort. Though they probably have to break it again very soon, and that would cheapen the whole thing a bit.

I'm going to continue to think Rumple probably wants to off Henry until proven otherwise. It's not like he really got the chance since the ominous ending of Nasty Habits, and the scene where he urges on Emma to shot, quick, before he can talk! was rather creepy – I know he's frightened of Pan, but if nothing else I don't believe he would have minded very much if Henry had happened to disappear through no fault of his own.

I love Regina and Tink! I hope we'll see more of them. I'm also intrigued by Tink and Hook's past, I hope we'll see some more of that.

I think the Blue Fairy is dead (though I'm not sure) but that we'll still find out more about her past.

Could Pan removing his own heart work? I figured the heart in question inevitably gets destroyed by the curse. I don't see him loving anything either, but maybe in feeling some vague affection for Felix (or, less likely, imo, Rumple), that still counts as what he loves "most", comparatively. I always thought that the curse requires strong affection, but that's never been stated; I like the idea by [livejournal.com profile] hughville that it'll happen but not be very powerful; that'd explain why it could get broken more easily too. Maybe the episode will end with them under the curse again? Though I personally wouldn't mind if they defeated Pan and moved on to something different.
