"Last Rites" is the twenty-first episode of Season Five of ABC's Once Upon a Time. It was written by Jerome Schwartz, and directed by Craig Powell. It is the one hundred and ninth episode of the series overall, and premiered on May 8, 2016.

Hades refers to Zeus as his older brother and implies that he was banished to the Underworld by Zeus. In Disney's Hercules, Zeus is also the older brother and Hades was unwillingly granted ownership of the Underworld by him. (In Greek mythology, Hades is the oldest brother, and he and his brothers drew lots to decide which parts of the world each would rule.)

"Souls of the Departed" is the twelfth episode of Season Five of ABC's Once Upon a Time. It was written by Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz, and directed by Ralph Hemecker. It is the one hundredth episode of the series overall, and premiered on March 6, 2016.

Cut Content: In the promo for the episode, "Ruby Slippers", Hades says, "The gods don't like it when mortals play with their toys." This line is not in the final episode.

Goof: The drawing of Hades and Zelena that can be seen in one of the storybook pages Hades had Liam Jones rip off for him depicts Zelena with a different shade of green than the usual one. However, a different page was made for "Our Decay", with her skin properly painted emerald green.

For the previously on Once Upon a Time part of "Our Decay", the scene was edited to make her look greener in the drawing.
