Date: 2012-01-23 01:53 am (UTC)I think it's going to tie into the Grimm brothers as well. There's a darker tinge to the fairy tales than the usual Disney fare. It's got a more lethal message, not necessarily the best happily ever after - just a happily ever after.

question - think it was that guy's cabin which David and Mary stopped in?

Date: 2012-01-23 04:13 am (UTC)I don't know if it's a Joss yet, though. I mean, there's no telling who he is yet. It's just my pet theory that it's a Grimms relation somewhere.
Honestly, I saw the cabin as the Storybrooke version of dwarves. Because it reminded me of her finding comfort, even briefly, in another stage. I mean it can't be like the exact same but it reminded me of that.

Date: 2012-01-23 04:25 am (UTC)EDIT: I never even considered an outside source (like a Grimm Brother) because they weren't part of a story, and thus go against what I thought was the show's premise (story characters only)
here's a question...if David was going to the diner because he knew Mary Margaret was there - and she was going to the diner because she knew he was there...which came first?
(or is someone playing matchmaker?)

Date: 2012-01-23 03:51 am (UTC)I'm still convinced Red/Rumpel are working together though (hence "Debt to the Devil" and her knowledge of him kinda works for me) ;)
I'm totally in love with Grumpy even more than I was before. I adored him and Snow. Ugh. They both need a drink and a cuddle. I'm so happy we finally got our Dwarves and they didn't let me down.
James and Red at the end was all d'awww for me since my headcannon is they are BFFs.

Date: 2012-01-23 03:58 am (UTC)I was immediately intrigued that is was Red that sent Snow in Rumpel's direction, but that is most likely just me projecting my headcanon onto the show. But at this point, I'll take whatever scraps the show throws my way.

Date: 2012-01-23 04:00 am (UTC)is the CIA interested in Storybrooke now? (the guy looks like Ben from Covert Affairs)
...or is he one of the Brothers Grimm?
I imagine the Evil Queen would've been happy to let the other kings deal with Snow White...though I'm not sure who's madder at Charming - his twin's adopted father, or King Midas.

Date: 2012-01-23 04:19 am (UTC)though right now, between the two of them, the reward money's probably enough to tempt anyone poorer than, say, Sauron (or Siggurd - that was the dragon guarding treasure, wasn't it?)
