putting community up for adoption

I don't have the time or the energy to handle this community, so if anyone wants to adopt it, please comment below and tell me why you want it and what you will do to improve the community, as well as prior experience as a community maintainer.

Well, I certainly don't mind throwing my hat in the ring. My previous experience modding/maintaining is blank_dolls (which is pretty dead since the cancellation to be honest), warehouse13 (which I co-mod with quite a few others mods), and the one I'm most active in is hawaiifive_0_tv (kalena_henden and I do that one together and that's the biggest and busiest one I've ever modded).

As far as why I want it...well, I think I'd be able to maintain it well. I'm kinda the, erm, strict one. :P Kalena is more laid back but I'm very by the rules with very few exceptions, no bashing, people getting along, etc. But to be honest, considering the member size, I might even suggest two mods. That's what happened with me when we hit over 500 in the H50 comm. As far as changes? I honestly think you've done a really good job thus far and the members definitely seem to be aware of most of the rules and such, so it seems like a good and friendly place to be. If I WERE going to change anything, I would definitely add episode discussions. I didn't notice any of those (but I may have not gone back far enough in the archive), and as far as how *I* organize things, I'd probably revamp the tags a bit.

So, there's me. :) Sorta. Whatever you decide, I hope you get some time to kick back and relax and thanks for putting up a great comm!

I totally agree about having more than one mod (I'm not throwing my hat in the ring, so this isn't me trying to be self-serving xD I mod enough places, LOL).

How I see it, if the comm is active, there should be one mod per ~150 people. That helps things run smoothly :)

I wouldn't mind taking it over.. I'd love to be more active in this fandom. And I don't really see much to improve, though I do second jadestrick's opinion that there should be episode discussions. I'd also maybe do some kind of header contest, to get the layout more "Once Upon A Time"-y. I'm pretty easygoing, though I am a stickler for rules and tags.

I currently own two active communities - adoringstana and castle_icontest as well as a few icontest and castle-related communities in the past.

I offered at your journal but I would love to take on this place and be part of a mod team here.

I mod a few fairly large communities and absolutely love this fandom and would love to see this community grow. It already has a great group of members.

I already mod kradam_ai and gossipgirltv, and several challenge communities. I agree that the community needs episode discussions, a stricter tag system, and I would love to see it have a custom layout that fits the show. I am familiar with coding and am pretty comfortable with photoshop. I've dealt with plenty of conflict's at other communities (from extreme character bashing to plagiarism) so I know how to handle people. I think in general things are pretty great here, I've taken part in several discussions and members were great about sharing their opinions on the show and characters.

Just throwing my hat in to help be a mod for whoever you do decide to become the new owner. I'd try for that but, busy enough trying to taking care of kirk_mccoy as co-maintainer (tho only active one atm).

But yes, besides that comm, I've helped mod lupin_snape in the past. Good with tag wrangling, helping rustle up ideas for activities (besides discussion posts, maybe monthly challenges, weekly roundups and the like) , and lj comm design.

Haven't been too active in this fandom yet as wanted to finish up my winter projects, and have a lovely Once Guide I'm working on to present hopefully soon lol.

I've left this community because of two recent posts that crossed a line into actor bashing and sexism. But I would really like to come back, so I appreciate the new rules and your efforts to get new moderators.

What I hope to see is a zero tolerance policy for sexism and mindless rants about characters that people don't like or demanding explanations for why someone does like a character.

Thanks for working to improve this place.
