Once Upon a Time: What If Emma and Regina Got Together?

Could Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) fall in love on Once Upon a Time? A lot of fans sure want it to happen. So far, the showrunners' reactions to the popularity of the Swan Queen ship doesn't give us much hope that this dream will become a reality, but that doesn't stop us from thinking about how interesting, and potentially awesome, it could be.

So, what would happen if Emma and Regina realized that instead of fighting over who gets to be Henry's #1 mom they should resolve their tension with a little bit o' lovin? Here are our prediction about what would go down, both on the show and in the wilds of the internet.

It would have been more interesting if the writer had gone more in-depth but some parts were funny (Tumblr would explode and take down the whole internet).

As much as I would like this to happen, I don't think it's likely, given, as the writer of the article said, the reactions of the showrunners. However, I am really liking Emma and Regina's interactions on the show this season, and the constant references to "our" son.

I think Regina is more accepting of Emma this season. As you said, she refers to Henry as "our son" and is trying to teach Emma how to use magic.

I do think it would make sense for Regina and Emma to become closer simply because they both love Henry.

However, I don't think the creators are ready to be the ones to do something like have two main characters of the same sex fall in love. But, I think it would be more believable for Regina and Emma to develop a romantic relationship than some of the relationships they both seem headed for now. And now I will zip my lip. LOL!

I am not one of those fans. For all practical purposes, Regina is Emma's stepmonster stepmother, and I just can't get behind that.

I think a lot of fans feel like you do. Regina and Emma are related through Snow (and Regina has done some truly awful things) but I have noticed this season that Regina seems a little more accepting of Emma. I could see them becoming friends for the sake of Henry. Not BFFs but cordial to each other.
