Episode Discussion 3x03: Quite a Common Fairy
In their continuing quest to find Peter Pan's hideout and save Henry, Hook suggests tracking down Tinker Bell in the hope that she will lead them straight to his camp. Pan reveals to Henry why he has brought him to Neverland and in the Enchanted Forest, Neal has a plan that could transport him to Emma, but it would involve using one of Robin Hood's most precious possessions. Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Tinker Bell offers to help Regina improve her life.

Date: 2013-10-14 01:47 am (UTC)I love that Emma and Neal keep talking about the people from the Enchanted Forest as if they are like the Disney characters they saw movies about.
So, now, thanks to Robin Hood's son, Neal is in Neverland. And Robin Hood is going to be Regina's new soul mate (according to Tink).
Rose McIver is really good as Tinker Bell.
Yay! Mulan was back (I love her). It was so sad when she went to tell Aurora how she feels and Aurora told Mulan she was pregnant. But, now Mulan is part of RH"s band of Merry Men. I gotta say, that is a spinoff I would watch.
It was nice that Emma learned that Snow didn't always live as a pampered Princess.
I LOVED Regina in this episode (I love her in every episode)! She uses the anger and resentment as a shield to protect herself but she was so lonely until she got Henry.
Poor David. No pixie dust to heal his wound and then Hook telling him he won't see the summer.
I found it interesting that Pan says Henry is destined to bring back magic. But, I also like that Henry is refusing to play Pan's "games".
This is another episode I need to watch again to get everything. So far, season three is just amazing!
Oh! I loved Neal's comment that ruby slippers create portals and Regina saying Tinker Bell must have used poppies to knock Regina out. Nice shout outs to The Wizard of Oz.

Date: 2013-10-14 02:28 pm (UTC)Robin/Regina!! Did anyone see this coming? If not, when in the course of the episode did everyone figure it out?
I was a little annoyed with how a sword was supposed to cut through an insubstantial shadow. But I guess magic.
Blue not believing in Tink! Gah!
I loved when Henry shot at Pan instead of Felix (was that his name?) As Henry was drawing the arrow, I was thinking "ah, Pan, you don't know the end of the William Tell story. Tell shoots at Gessler with the second arrow!" Then Henry shot Pan and I was all cheery.
ETA: I'm curious about how this fits in with the timeline. Did Regina almost meet Robin before or after Marian's death (if before, then maybe before she and Robin got together)? If it was after Marian died, then considering Roland's age, that does not leave a lot of time for Regina to go full evil and enact the curse. A lot to think about!

Date: 2013-10-15 03:16 am (UTC)The only thing that I didn't like was seeing Mulan so heartbroken. Poor girl can't catch a break :(
I can't wait for the next episode.

Date: 2013-10-15 04:33 am (UTC)I hope they don't cop out of that and then pair Mulan up with a guy. It would be fine of course, saying she's bisexual, but I feel like they need to stick with this one and find her another princess.
