i watched last night's episode, and somethings have crawled in to my head, Ok whats with the pretty glass mobile in Mr. Gold's shop, so far it has been shown at least 3 times i know of. we know where the puppets come from but i was wondering if they are going to play some part latter on in the show. the silver flask every one is drinking out of, what's with that. is it poly juice potion or is every one in Storybrook a lush.
we now know charming is not a real prince, and why he was going the marry the nag with the bad attitude. the king turned out to be a self serving jerk.might be related to Regina.
from where i can see Rumpelstiltskin has his fingers in every pie there is. all most like he's the real power in those kingdoms not the kings. did any one notice Gold smile when David said he remembered. was it me or has Regina been taking bitch pills lately, not only that she is rude. she's supposed to be a lady. did any one other than me think Emma was not too pleased with Graham when she caught him sneaking out of Regina's house after a late night booty call. and what's with Dr. Wale going after Marry Margret , is Regina behind that as well.

Well, I do think Regina sent David by way of the pawn shop on purpose; she knew darned well that if he saw something from his past (like Henry said), it would kick in the curse for him. Since she was all chummy with Katherine, Regina knew just how to handle that problem.

Regina probably IS behind the business with the doctor and Mary Margaret, wanting to diffuse that situation entirely by getting Mary Margaret attached to him instead.

So if/when Emma wanders into the shop and plays with it (spinning things probably help) will she remember... er... a sense of "rightness" with her real parents and the notion of Fairy Tale Land? (Assuming she hasn't already, I haven't been rewatching for details.

I honestly have no idea how this will play out. Gold has a lot of stuff in his shop related to fairytale characters (the puppets, Alladin's lamp, tea set from Beauty and the Beast). Maybe he keeps them as reminders of his deals? Idk.

Probably not. She was never actually put in the crib, so never actually saw the mobile, so I don't think it'd trigger anything. It'd be more familiar to her parents than her.

I was thinking the same thing.

I was also thinking, maybe he's remembered his life with Kathrine, but that doesn't mean that he won't remember his life with Snow White. Because if you saw the end, His life with Kathrine is before he meets Snow White in the Enchanted Forest... so maybe it will take Snow White/Mary Margaret to be "near death" for him to remember and save her.

I don't think remembering Kathryn and remembering Snow go together. He's regaining fake memories implanted by the curse, not memories having anything to do with Abigail or his real life. I'm sure he will remember Snow eventually, but now that he has some fake memories, he'll have all (or most of) the same obstacles that Snow has remembering him or Gepetto has remembering Pinnochio, etc.

I keep thinking that the Enchanted Forest lives don't actually exist. That it is a "perfect scenario" in which all the characters live, or is somehow the portrayal of their personalities, but not actual history.

Maybe I just think that because the writers wrote LOST and so, I keep thinking twists and turns are going to start happening.

But we saw the glass coffin in the mine in Storybrooke. It exists. It was, IIRC, our first actual physical proof that Henry wasn't delusional. I mean, the ring and the puppets and the mobile - those can have mundane explanations. Not so much for a glass coffin.

And how would Emma fit in that way - just not be related to Mary Margaret and David?

I never watched LOST, but if this showed ended with them saying they weren't actually Snow White, Prince Charming, etc. and there was no curse - I'd feed betrayed and ticked.

But your right. I suppose if everything was just symbolic and there was no real Snow White or Prince Charming (etc) it would all feel a little too much like a lie and we'd all be pissed.

I hope I didn't come off as rude. I was just trying to say why I didn't think it would work. And then, of course, I had to offer an opinion about how I wouldn't like it. Because opinions, whether we agree or not, are what discussion is about.

See, I do agree with your statement about feeling like we'd been lied to. You can do a twist ending for movie - the audience only has a couple hours invested. For a show - not so much. I'd think it would alienate the fanbase, and hurt final season dvd sales. Possibly hurt syndication, too, though I don't really know about that.

I just really hope TPTB have worked out what their final end is and what the rules of the curse are. That way we don't have to worry about being led up a path only to have theTPTB change their minds last moment and give us an event that makes no sense in context. Yep, watched a few shows like that. Usually shows with complicated mythos and secrets and conspiracies, though, so I'm not as worried about this show doing that.

I think the extra rudeness is probably due to her desperation to keep complete control over everyone, and it's starting to crumble.

I just want Regina/Mr. Gold to be hit where it hurts. Just once! It seems through this whole ordeal they just keep winning!!

But then again... without their winning the show would be solved and over within a season!

I do like a lot of what you guys had to say. Like the mobile, maybe he had looked at it longer he would have remembered Snow instead of the other chick. But we haven't figured out Snow and Charming's relationship. We know that he came in the nick of time to save her from death, and we know they had a romp in the forest and then went on their way, but is there anything else??

Storybrooke seems to mirror the Enchanted Forest a lot. Maybe Mary Margaret needs to be perilously close to death and he save her, for them to become an item.

In fact, maybe that is the premise of the show. That they won't go back to the Enchanted Forest, that their lives will just mirror and ultimately become what was once in the Enchanted Forest....

I actually really like Mr. Gold and hope he keeps winning. I think through this whole ordeal, he's really trying to get Regina back for her curse. I think he has something up his sleeve, what with bringing Henry to Storybrooke and all, he just really wants to see this curse broken and to see it all fall apart in Regina's face, that way he comes out on top for their deal.

I like Mr. Gold too, simply because he's honest! Regina is just evil... Mr Gold is more a trickster (and his Enchanted Forest counterpart). He's out for himself, and is willing to do "evil" things to do, but then again he'll do not-so-evil things if it means he's on top.

And he's honest!! He tells people straight up that his deals come with a price. He's sneaky about it, but everyone knows straight up that they will have to pay him back with something pricey. It's the dealers greed and momentary want that put them in their predicaments, not Rumpelstiltskin's evil.

Also, I keep wondering when Rumplestiltskin's original story will come out. The one with the princess finding out his name to keep her baby. She asked Emma for a deal and didn't know what the price would be yet. I wonder if then, Emma will guess his "Enchanted Forest" Character and the deal will be broken.

i think Gold is play his cards close to his chest, he knows the curse is going to be broken sooner or latter and wants to make sure that when it is he comes out of it all if not on top at least in a far better place than he was when the curse went down. if i was in his place and knowing what he knows that is what i would do. make sure the heavy hitters on both sides owe you and big.
i think he will not play the favor card with Emma until he is forced to call it in to save himself.
