Episode Discussion 2x16: The Miller's Daughter

Cora's desire to rid herself of Rumplestiltskin in order to take his place as The Dark One takes one step closer to becoming reality as she and Regina try to overpower a dying Mr. Gold, and Mary Margaret is once again tempted by dark magic. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Rumplestiltskin agrees to offer his services to a younger Cora - for a price - when the king calls her bluff and orders her to actually follow through on her boast of being able to spin straw into gold.

I'm so sorry for how late this is! I had a very important dinner date with the Little Prince of this castle and it ran late. :)

I knew they were going to kill off Cora I just didn't know Snow would be the one to do it.
Excellent casting of Rose McGowan as young Cora. It was nice to see that they cast Latino actors to play King Xavier and Henry, Sr. I just wish they had given Joaquim de Almeida more screen time.
I liked that Emma cast the protection spell. From the look on her face, I'd say she likes magic.
Was Princess Eva supposed to be Snow's mother as a teenager?

really interesting episode...but ooohhhh boy. yet ANOTHER reason i can hate regina again. i started to like her when she truely wanted to change...but now that snow killed her mother (even though she regretted the decision after the fact) ugh...

Regina is going to be predictable i think and again..with the vengeance. because she...cannot...let...it...go. sure..get angry and scream and shout and let it all out...and then find peace with it!

I can't help but wonder how things would have gone if Cora had gotten her heart back un-cursed. I actually felt a bit sorry for her when she finally showed Regina some actual love right before she died.

Of course that would mean Rumple would have died, and we can't have that. :)

This episode was so disturbing to me. I really didn't want Snow to play a part in Cora's death. It's not who she is. Now Cora won a way.. Because she blackened Snow's pure heart. :(

I hope Charming, Emma and Henry can help get her through this. And Rumple can reason with Regina to not "get revenge." After everything Cora and Regina did to Snow's family, it wouldn't even be revenge anymore. Just pointless bloodshed.

Loved Rumple's scenes with Belle and Baelfire. Loved seeing Rose McGowan. I'm anxious for next week's episode.

I'm midway through the episode so I'm just commenting and avoiding seeing spoilers after I hit post but OH MY GOD if they make Regina Rumpel's daughter, I will cry. Do not want. Stahhhhp.

Okay, they didn't do it. GOOD. Crisis averted.

I just watched the episode today (was on an airplane yesterday) and I agreed so much on that. I'm okay with a lot of the intertwining family tree but that would've just gone too far for me.
