Summary: Rumpelstiltskin's plan has gone wrong and the queen has abandoned him to the full force of the Storybrooke curse. (Ruby's POV in this chapter)
Notes: 1. It's a little ridiculous, really, how much of this I owe to cyprith who was an enormously helpful beta.
2. Why Ruby/GoldBlack? I really don't know. It might be that they're the only major characters to show up so far whose stories are more folktale than Disney movie. And then there was that 2-second glance in the pilot. Yes, I am making up my own world; I regret nothing.
