Episode Discussion 2x13: Tiny
Kidnapped and brought to Storybrooke by Cora, the Giant unleashes his vengeance on the town when a case of mistaken identity leads him to try and settle an old score with David; Mr. Gold, accompanied by Emma and Henry, attempts to depart Storybrooke – hoping to keep his memory intact when he crosses the town line -- and heads to the airport in search of his son Bae; and Greg questions Belle as to what she saw on the night of his car accident. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was and against his brothers’ wishes, Anton, the Giant, climbs down the beanstalk and attempts to befriend some humans – whose
intentions may not be so noble.

Date: 2013-02-11 03:55 am (UTC)I was very happy to see Abraham Benrubi. I remember him from Wings and ER.
I got the impression that Emma is dealing with Rumpelstiltskin and not Mr. Gold. I think his Mr. Gold persona is gone.
Next week should be another great episode.

Date: 2013-02-12 01:40 pm (UTC)I thought he was just extremely scared because he has no magic in the real world. So he wasn't talking to anyone because he doesn't know what to do with himself. Being that he's lived SO many years with Magic.

That would be bloody awesome. Heart-breaking, too, because with Belle drugged into vegetable AGAIN, he won't get a warm welcome.
Now I have this idea of Belle meeting and getting to know the original, pre-curse Rumplestiltskin. Plot-bunnies!

Date: 2013-02-23 09:33 am (UTC)I like the road trip, too! I'm not sure it Rumplestiltskin exactly, but it's certainly a more vulnerable side of the Rumplestiltskin/Dark One/Gold mix. I like seeing Emma's reaction and the way she tries to help a bit, and though I would not have thought so before: I do enjoy seeing Mr.Gold (or whoever it is) squirming and suffering from culture shock a bit, because I'm still fuming like hell about the screw-up with Belle.
First it's trying to fix her quick as he can so he has his emotional safety blanket back, confusing her even more. Than it's "if anything happens to her, I'll kill you all". And to top it off, he just leaves without even making sure that she's not being drugged out of her mind?
And to make it all worse, even her friend doesn't give her any answers. It just hurts to watch that.
Haven't seen the latest episode but I can barely wait to see Rumplestiltskin meeting his son.

Date: 2013-02-11 02:29 pm (UTC)as much as a rant as a discussion, hope that's okay.
Date: 2013-02-23 09:14 am (UTC)Tbe worst ingredient of "Grimm", a female character being completely out of the loop about what's happening around her, trying desperately to piece it together and to understand it, and everyone's lying to her, patting her head going "no no, just imagening it" - and ABC has to copy THAT for Once Upon a Time? WHAT THE ... ?
Okay, deep breaths, deep breaths.
It really, really hurts to see poor Belle like this. 28 frellin' years drugged and locked away, and now the exact same thing is happening to her again? This could have been such a lovely opportunity for her to relearn the town and it's inhabitants on her own, without Rumplestiltskin/Gold hanging over her trying to shepherd her.
Instead: this.
And Red lying to Belle? The Nurse is supposed to be evil, so it's bad. But someone who was her friend? I'm thinking very unkind thoughts about Red here.
I get some consolation from Gold getting down from his "reign of evil, I'll kill your family if Belle is scratched up" trip, but considering that after all that he leaves town without even making sure she's out of the bloody hospital I am seriously enjoying his little culture shock. Idiot Ball, glued to Rumple's hands.
