While Belle is researching, she wears a dress with embroidered roses, a reference to the flower that Beauty's father steals from the Beast's rose garden in the fairy tale of "Beauty and the Beast." In addition, a vase of roses is sitting in Wandering Oaken's Trading Post when Belle visits.
