Episode 1.19 The Return ~ written by Jane Espenson

-David and Regina may have scenes together.
-Emma and August have scenes together.
Episode 1.21 Apple Red As Blood ~ written by Jane Espenson and David Goldman
- It's unknown who this week's flashback is on. But, it may focus on how Regina poisoned Snow.
- An apple tree appears in the middle of Storybrooke.
- There is a scene where Emma falls and David and Mary Margaret help her up.
- The Mad Hatter/Jefferson may appear in this episode.
Episode 1.22 A Land Without Magic ~ written by ??
- Season one finale.
- The flashbacks may focus on several characters.
- The producers plan to call back to the premiere’s pivotal clock-ticking moment in the finale. “It’s huge,” Pearlman says of the season-ender. “It’s quite large in typical Lost fashion. With Emma coming to town in the pilot, she got the clock to start ticking, which started to affect everybody in the town in different ways. In the season finale, there will be something that will happen that will affect everybody in the town.”
- The Huntsman is in the flashbacks.
- The Mad Hatter/Jefferson may be in this episode.
- Belle will/may be in this episode, but it isn't known if she'll be in Storybrooke, the Fairy Tale world, or both. The producers are keeping a tight lid on it. EdR had to delete tweets about her working on set, as they feared spoilers leaking.
- Dr Whale is in the episode.
Other spoilers for this season and season two:
- “Henry’s father is a very important part of the puzzle, it’s also entirely possible that we may meet him and not know we met him.”
- A set has been built for a room in an insane asylum
- We will find out August’s goal “very shortly”
- As of episode twenty, there have been no kisses between August and Emma.
- David and MM will kiss in the season one finale. It will be a "big moment" in the finale.
- We will find out Dr Whale’s identity in season two.
- We will meet Ariel and Aladdin in season two.
- We may met Peter Pan, but it depends on if they can get the copyright to use the characters from the novel. Disney owns the rights to the cartoon version from the 1950s, but not the characters as portrayed in the novel. They would have to pay to use the characters, and it would depend on what they would do with Peter Pan. A producer mentioned Fables, and how Peter Pan was set up as the main villain for the first arc of the comic. But, it had to be changed because the Barrie estate (or, the children’s hospital who now owns the rights) didn't like the idea of Pan as a villain. The Once people are "working" on getting the rights for an episode.
- They also want to have Mulan and Rapunzel appear at some point. When someone asked how they would do Mulan, as she's a folk legend from China. . .the producers didn't say. But, it has been established that there is a hat that goes to other worlds and that Middle Eastern folk tales(Aladdin) have some basis of truth in the Fairy Tale world. Remember, the Aladdin story from One Thousand and One Nights has Aladdin as a ne'er-do-well in a Chinese town. . .
- We will find out about the book and who wrote it in season two.
- There are “major plans” for Cora in season two (possible 3-episode arc)
- Emma and Henry are normal people and NOT fairy tale characters. Apparently the producers are getting annoyed with fans asking who their counterparts are in the fairy tale world. Emma is the child of Snow and Charming and is "The Hope", but she's not a fairy tale character. Henry is smart, but also completely normal.
- The producers have stated that they will use fables, folk legends, fairy tales, etc that Disney has rights to. But, they are making their own versions of the stories. Things will be different from the Disney films and even the stories we knew from Grimm, etc.

Ugh, I was really hoping they would never say who it was. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I wanted it to just be some random unimportant dude and focus solely on Emma.

Personally I would be annoyed as well. There's really no way to make it any clearer other that redoing the intro every episode with "Every fairytale character (and not Emma or Henry because they're not fairytale characters)..." and yet.
