I always felt that a better way of bringing in OUATIW would have been to use Jafar rather than Will, to be honest. Will never seemed to be explained or make a lot of sense, but for Jafar it could have been done - it would have been so easy for his lamp to end up in Gold's shop and for him to be accidentally released into Storybrooke.

Although I'm sure someone could have come up with a story for Will that was better than what we got...
