Episode Discussion 1x12: Skin Deep

After Mr. Gold's house is robbed, Emma keeps a close eye on him when it looks like he wants to track down the criminal and dole out some vigilante justice as payback, and Valentine's Day finds Mary Margaret, Ruby and Ashley having a girls' night out. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Belle agrees to a fateful deal to give up her freedom in order to save her town from the horrors of the Ogre war.

Regina better beware. He hasn't forgotten in either form, that he's completely filled with vengeance.

I wonder how many people Regina has locked up in various places. (And why did that janitor look like Snape?)

Does anyone else think the Snow White and Charming thing is going a bit slow, dragging?

he reminded of Chief from On Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest. my husband loved the scene where Gaston appeared at Rumple's door to use force to get Bell back and Rumple turned him into a rose. the story was well written and very well acted. especially on the part of Mr. Carlyle. i think things are only going to get far more interesting from here.

I haven't seen One Flew Over, so I've no idea about that. I loved the scene with Gaston, too. It felt like he was coming back to claim his property, too. All GRRRR. I think it's definitely going to be more interesting once Mr. Gold starts sniffing about - and I wonder of Rumple will start bleeding through, even more.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest is a old movie from the 70s with Jack Nickelson.
i think what ever happens it will be one wild ride.
i loved the way Mr. Gold's home looked much like the man himself, classy, yet understated. makes me wonder what kind of car he drives.

Oh, I know the movie. I just haven't seen it. The clips kind of made me not wanna watch it.

I think so, too, about Gold. You would expect more from such a power house, much like EQ changed her home to reflect her. I'd bet he drives an older car. Not necessarily anything flashy. Something like a classic Bentley or Rolls.

Actually, I think Snow/Charming is going better than I expected. I don't like the idea that he's sneaking around behind Kathryn's back (fake memories or not, he THINKS he's married to her!) and I like that they're not making it out to be all sunshine and flowers, because it really shouldn't be.

I think I just feel like it's dragging. By that, I mean we're not seeing his side of things really - like his daily life, unlike with Mary Margaret, which we hear about. I know we see next week's episode, a bit of a look of, but I still don't know anything about him outside Snow/Mary Margaret.

*laugh* No question on the putz. I just feel like they haven't really fleshed out David much and how he related back to Charming (ie, what triggers Charming into David, and why).
