I've been raging for two solid weeks since Jane has such a hard on for Rumps she turns Belle into a Mary Sue to hump him instead of doing se good like furthering the plot
Noooo, THE BEAST! (Assuming I've interpreted that sneek peek correctly, I am not at all surprised, but still disappointed that they skimped on special effects for a full character).
There is going to be angst but I love angst so bring it on. Also I'd say some exploration of just how dangerous he can be which is something I find very interesting about him. So I'm happy with all of it. :)
I'm so CAPSLOCK excited for this episode that only the presence of a sleeping baby in the room kept me from shouting in delight at these clips :) Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale and Rumpelstiltskin was one of the stories that taught me as a child that I didn't have to agree with the narrator (I honestly thought that the baby would be better off in a hut in the woods with a magical creature rather than living with a father willing to cut the head off of her mother and a mother willing to bargain her away! I was pretty judgemental of characters in fairy tales as a kid ;) So I'm very eager to see this blending of these two stories that are so very dear to my heart!
I *love* the expression on 'Pel's face when he catches Belle. That "wait--why did I do that??" look is just so perfect!
I couldn't wait for the clips to come out this time! And I was happy to find some really nice HD versions. I've been studying what we see of his houses (in both worlds) and looking at his clothing. Usually I try to avoid them but I knew I wasn't going to be able to do it considering.
I've never thought about the Rumpelstiltskin story that way but you're right - that child deserved better.
That is an excellent expression. He got more than he bargained for.
Well, I, for one, am completely enamored with Beast!Rumple. I don't even care if this episode makes him just a little more evil (or a lot). He's obviously a focus character in this show (Rumple Ex Machina) and I'm delighted. Here's to reinvention, self-insert, and just generally HAVING FUN with fandom. :)

Yes! I'm with you! I find it clear that they wrote the character from the beginning with the intention of having him tie everything together and be in everyone's stories. And, if you listen to the producers, they are huge Carlyle fanboys who are delighted to have the chance to write for him.
Waiting anxiously to see this Rumple / Gold-centric episode. My absolute favorite character! It will be delightful to see an ep that is (mostly) devoted to him. Robert Carlyle is always a fascinating and delicious treat! : D
He is my favorite character as well so I am happy to see another episode focusing on him. *g* And he's the most mysterious character on the show so a little more insight into him will be excellent!
Never thought I would love Gaston but I totally do. Sage, why so awesome? ♥
One little nitpick on Girls Night: Why in the hell is Ashley drinking? SHE'S 19 IN STORYBROOKE! ((Yes yes she IS actually older BUT she cannonly states she's 19)) *facepalm* maybe if the writer took the time to pay attention to other characters, she would have caught that.
now i know why i love Rumple so much he reminds me of one of my heroes, Bugs Bunny. both are the masters of the snarky remark. but Rumple is so much darker.
That's bugging me too. If they hadn't had her state her age before I could handwave it but there is no way she older than 20 here. (~5 months after Price of Gold)
Fake ID, friend of the owner, or, most likely, fairy tale town where that kind of incongruity is neither noticed nor commented upon by the residents. I don't think the residents of Storybrooke even had a concept of state/federal law until Emma showed up and started doing real investigating and policing. And even then they only seem to "remember" those kinds of things if Emma is directly forcing them to. Unless Emma decides she's going to stroll in and bust the girls, Ashley will probably be fine.
