I think it was a story about learning how to think outside the box for Dreamy/Grumpy. He crippled his life for the sake of conformity. I hope someday he and Nova make it work.
It makes sense that the fairies would become nuns; both are beautiful but socially asexual beings involved in magical belief systems trying to help other people out.
