Here’s one that the fans of the ship are rather passionate about.

I have heard it as Golden Queen or Queen Gold so we are talking about Regina and Rumple our original villains of the piece.

1. What have you heard this relationship called?

2. Do you think there was an ‘in the sack’ component to this relationship?

3. What sort of relationship did theirs evolve into? In Storybrooke? In the Enchanted Forest?

4. Who do think tops in this relationship? And how kinky do you think they are?

5. Do you ever think they went out to dinner in Storybrooke?

6. Is this a co-dependent kind of relationship?

This is my favourite ship! As in, I love it as a romantic (for a certain value of
"romance")/sexual relationship, but I also just adore the relationship in general; I love every single one of their interactions, or even just the times they talk about each other. They have such an intensity to them, such a long complicated history, and I think they know each other in ways no-one else does. I adore them.

1. I think I've also heard Dark Queen?

2. I think in canon they never had sex, but that you can very easily insert that they did without it being jarring in the least (well, unless you read their relationship as a father/daughter sort of thing, which I think starting with season two makes sense, though I personally don't); but to me there's definitely a sexual component to their interaction.

3. They evolved into something surprisingly functional in season 3: they hung out together and got things done, they were on the same side versus Pan and Zelena, Gold said something nice about Regina's parenting skills. The lack of antagonism takes away some of the intensity too though.
I think the back and forth we see in FTL went on the whole time? What we haven't really seen yet is the part where Regina gains some distance, after she's no longer his apprentice, and I'd be curious if they had a specific falling out or if they just drifted apart. (And I want to know the story of how she got the curse and then gave it away!)

4. Rumple topping from the bottom. Of course, this is informed by my own preferences, but I do think it fits.

5. I'd like to think they had some sort of relationship in memory-less Storybrooke (and that Storybrooke before Emma wasn't always just the exact same day over and over, at least after Henry got there), so yes, but not on a date, for business. But it was still filled with sexual tension and inappropriately romantic. And occasionally Gold would say "please" about things while genuinely not knowing what the effect is.

6. I think the dependency is almost exclusively on Regina's side. I am amazed and delighted at how he keeps screwing her over and she keeps coming to him for help. He must have cultivated that.
Her reaction to the letter about Zelena to Cora shows just how much she needs his approval even when presumably she hates him. It also shows that it's something she's starting to get over (or was; who knows whether she'll fall back on it now that things with Robin are so up in the air).

On Rumple's side, I think that for the most part, when he's dismissive of her (like when his reaction to her being kidnapped by Tamara and Greg is "yes, and how is that a problem?", or his "you no longer have anything I want"), he means it, even if maybe he's overplaying it (his animosity towards her is very personal right from the start, and while some of that is probably about Cora, nor her, I don't think that's the whole of it).
It think it might have been different if he hadn't found Belle again. When he sends that thing after Regina's soul, that's revenge, but I also wonder if that's something he wouldn't have wanted to do before, if maybe he did need Regina, as one of the few people who know him so well and with whom he has a personal relationship; but with Belle back, he's got a real second chance, a possibility for a genuine, positive relationship, and whatever it is he has with Regina doesn't measure up.

All right, *rolls up sleeves* I'm no longer as active in the OUAT community but Golden Queen is my OTP and I just can't pass this by without putting in my two-cents.

1. I've heard it referred to as Golden Queen, Dark Queen, Queen of Gold, and Rumpelgina. Also I tag them as otp: the queen and her malevolent imp on tumblr.

2. I'm of the opinion that Rumpel was Regina's first sexual partner. Her relationship with Daniel struck me as very innocent, so I doubt they went that far. And because Rumpel was her mentor in "many things" I find it difficult to believe that they *didn't" have a little something going on between the sheets, at least at one point or another.

3. I think it's interesting that they went from deal-that-rumpel-lost (though I don't know if Regina knows this part), mentor/apprentice, rivals, enemies, to something that is as close to true friendship as these two will get. While I personally would love it it had evolved into more, I'm resigned to the fact that if there was a romance, it was in the past, because they both have significant others.

4. I'm gonna say it's 50/50. They've always struck me as equals in the bedroom, for some reason, so they'd shake it up. As for how kinky they are: this IS the Dark One and the Evil Queen we're talking about.

5. I've actually written fic about that. And yes, I think they went out to dinner though I don't know if it was a date, a just-as-friends thing or on business.

6. Yes, mainly on Regina's part though Rumpel needs her more than he's willing to let on.

7. In the span of the three seasons that this show has aired I've: opened a LJ community (gold_regina), a tumblr (fuckyeahgoldenqueen) and written a huge amount of fic for these two. I also make vids. Basically if anyone *wants* something Golden Queen related they can come to me with requests. If I can't provide I know plenty of people to refer things too as well ;)
