Summary: AU. When the call comes in, Emma sighs and grabs her jacket, trying to remember why it was a good idea to bring him along in the first place.
Notes: Partially inspired by this graphic and this prompt: In Storybrooke, Killian gets arrested for breaking and entering/stealing, not used to this new world where pirates can’t take what they please and Emma stays overnight to watch him because he escaped before.

This is a behind-the-series story on how I see their relationship developing throughout the first season and then into my own version of what happened after the finale. There’s a lot of character development and backstory that we don’t really see in the show, but is hinted at. We can call this a character study with plot, if you will.
