warning: this is just me rambling and venting about some plotholes...



"You took our happily-ever-after. So now we'll take yours," Emma says to Regina.

So, does this mean that Henry's book doesn't have the scene where the Queen and all the other storybook villains are putting things together for the spell? Or does this mean Henry's convinced Emma to ignore any reasons or motivations for the other side?

Those may've been baddies, but they teamed up because they had no Happily Ever After and they wanted one!

(though does Emma realize that, whenever a fairytale character is killed, a tree grows magic fruit?)

I think it's Regina's nightmare. She may discover who Emma really is and this will trigger the dream.

Agree that it is most likely a dream. There was a promo of Regina smashing her mirror. And, with Kathryn alive that means that Mary Margaret will soon be free. Regina's plans are falling apart rapidly. It makes sense that she would begin to have nightmares about her (second) downfall.

I don't have the source on me, but I believe the creators have said that the villains' stories aren't in the book. Which would explain why Henry can't figure out who Gold is, despite it being painfully obvious, though it makes me wonder what the story that went along with the picture of baby!Snow from Stable Boy was.

hm...that answers a lot (thank you for that)...but it begs more questions (like "shouldn't Henry know less than he does, if the book is missing key sections like that?")

should have added a disclaimer above; sorry. (but your hint (baby!Snow) isn't a spoilers to me - its something to anticipate, like a good preview.
