Misinformation!!
Apr. 7th, 2012 11:29 amOkay, I'll stop spamming the comm after this post.
But this amused me. Mary Margaret is teaching the kids things that are... not *technically* correct.
While there are technically eight planets now, it seems Miss Mary Margaret Blanchard is on Team Pluto.

It's called a "dwarf planet" now, Miss Blanchard. Along with Cerus and that other one with the name that is all letters and numbers.
This furthers my belief that Storybrooke exists in its own reality/timeline outside that of our current Earth one. Where they're stuck in some retro 50s/60s/70s warp.

Date: 2012-04-07 05:03 pm (UTC)That snap happened after "Hat Trick" and I've been rewatching. This jumped out at me. I tend to notice background stuff a lot (you'd be very surprised at all the in-jokes some shows have... posters on the wall behind students, pictures in frames... they're like easter eggs for the observant).

Date: 2012-04-08 12:04 am (UTC)Time stood still since they all arrived, which was shortly after Emma's birth. The kids did age, but no one else did.
Look at the toys that Henry has in his room, he has some robot toys that are from that era, as well as a lot of others. Nothing new.
Similar thing with cars etc. Back in the 80's Pluto was still a planet.

Although, that does beg the question of their cell phones (all of which are out of date, mid to late 90s, except for Emma's).
Henry's toys make sense, though I didn't particularly take note of it. Most "new" or up to date toys are branded heavily, and tv does tend to stay away from randing kids toys as much as possible in the sense of having to pay for rights unnecessarily for a throw away seen, unless it's important to the plot. I just figured it was that in play.
