Was that a new intro? I don't remember it being used before. I noticed they changed that bit about "Only one person remembers . . ." :-)

I love the tone in which James says, "Have you tried true love's kiss?" like it's a remedy you can get from the pharmacy. :-)

Of course you can. It's next to the chapstick - to make sure your lips aren't chapped whenever forever sealing your fate.

Hee!

Something just occurred to me -- could Mary Margaret not be the real Snow White?? She seems to be acting very odd -- and there IS a parallel storyline going on here about a shape-shifting siren. . . .

That would be very interesting. What if Mary Margaret is locked up with Belle, in the same place?

August W. Boothe = AWB = BAW = Bau

Could he be Rump's son after all?

Loved Charming. Total opposite to the indecisive, dishonest, and weak David. Poor Mary Margaret. Poor Kathryn.

Happy for Abigail & Frederick.

Ah, good catch. I never thought of that.

Weird how we never saw Rumpel/Gold at all this time, considering he usually manages to make himself the center of things!

Also . . . I've been thinking about something. Maybe I'm slow on the uptake, but -- why would it be so much more honorable to tell Kathryn he was leaving her for another woman? Okay, it would be more honest, I get that. But the results would have been very much the same. He'd still have ditched his wife for someone else, and in my book (I'll grant you I'm very old-fashioned about some things), there's really no way to do that honorably. Kathryn still would have been hurt, and the word still would have gotten out, and ten to one the townsfolk still would have shunned David and MM and called them names.

So what was the big deal, exactly?

To my way of thinking, MM's behavior was even worse than David's. She was being all self-righteous about the whole thing, when she hadn't even stopped to consider Kathryn's feelings at all.

Oh, I'm not saying they should have done that! My point is simply that David isn't the only one who behaved badly here. And for her not to acknowledge that seems a little hypocritical.

This was glorious considering how much I hated last week. This episode confirmed how I've ALWAYS seen Abigail and Kathryn. I never really hated either of them, at first glance, yes but I knew there was so much more...

FREDERICK ♥
He's Alcatrazraz and in one of my fav Lifetime miniseries (because of Emma Lahana) Seven Deadly Sins. It took me all episode to figure that out.

AND ONCE AGAIN ARCHIE FANS BE DAMNED WE LOST TWO ARCHIE SCENES! One where he was pining across the street at the diner (possibly Ruby) and one where he was talking to Emma at night. I think the pining moment comes from the cut scenes from last weeks train wreck.

I was surprised how much I loved this episode, considering it was all about the disaster that is David/Mary Margaret. But not only did it end the stupidity that was the adultery storyline, but KATHRYN/ABIGAIL. Glad to see someone else appreciated her before now! My girl was just perfection like I wanted her to be and my heart hurt for her the entire episode, but I'm so glad she at least got a FTL happy ending!

I was wondering if Archie's scenes were cut again! It's kinda ridiculous at this point that he's listed as a regular character when Ruby's not, yet Ruby seems to have more episodes than him now. Personally I can see how there wouldn't be room in this episode for them, but last week anything that wasn't Rumpelstiltskin/Gold was pretty filler so I don't see why they couldn't have kept him in instead of the princesses having issues.

I think they are done for the moment. Mary Margaret is hurt and angry. I don't think there's anything at the moment David could say to her to get her back. Plus with Kathryn missing after the accident, I just can't see them restarting their relationship any time soon.

I think it would be more honorable because it would be owning up to the fact that he did something wrong. He doesn't seem to get that or at least can't vocalize it - it's all "I didn't want anyone to get hurt" and "something is stopping him" from working on his marriage. Yes, the results would still be the same. But it would be more honorable because it would be acknowledging his fault in cheating on his wife instead of acting like something outside of his influence just happened to him.

Yeah, they definitely said "Who knows the truth? And who can break the spell?" this time around, and instead of just showing Regina/Emma they added Gold and the Stranger in, which is interesting.

I thought it was odd too. Mary Margaret was very self-righteous and I didn't understand why.

So... Regina's keys. Magical and can open any door? At first I thought maybe she had a key for everyone in Storybrooke, but I don't think there were enough keys on that chain for that.

Also, was that a can of red spray paint in her drawer? Implying that she's the one who painted "TRAMP" on the car in broad daylight? Doesn't make sense.

August said something about "I always tell the truth". Hmmm. Maybe a key to his identity but the only thing I could come up with was Pinocchio and I can't really see how that would work (but then again, the writers have a knack for making stuff work that seems like it won't). :)

Exactly. Basically, he was making Mary Margaret the target. The town's reaction was over-the-top, to be sure, but he basically hurt both women in an effort to be "the good guy." But what he did wasn't good for either one. It wasn't necessary bad, but it wasn't good because he broke vows to both women. He took the easy way out while leaving MM to face all the hardship.

I had to think about it, but for the keys: the other explanation may be that everyone has the same lock but may not know it. I mean, it's part of her need to be in control of everyone's ever after, right? So if there's only a handful of keys but no one has really challenged Regina in the past. Emma is the one who stood out and the fractures are happening - hence the mayor's freakouts.

You know, we were reading about the 'mayor of the palace' in medieval history. It's got me thinking that maybe the keys also represent that Regina was and is a regent, a mayor of the palace, in a somewhat Middles Ages type world.

i agree, in the town where i live every time someone gets caught cheating every one just gossips and giggles about it for a few days then we forget about it. the only people doing any name calling are the ones involved. and i don't think Granny had any right to say what she did to MM with all the things Ruby is supposed to have done.

Interesting idea with August!

Agreed on Charming vs. wimpy David. He and MM/Snow sure had personality flips, didn't they?

Because of knowing Archie's voice from my favorite video game (Knights of the Old Republic), I'm sad at not seeing/hearing him very often. Sbrage has such a great voice. :D

I'm sure Regina (or someone she put up to it) did write on MM's car. I liked that touch that the spray can was in her drawer. That made me LOL when I saw it. I love how horribly manipulative she is!

It makes perfect sense for Regina to spraypaint Tramp on MM's car. She was trying to add to the trouble. Typical Regina.

I like the idea of August being Pinocchio!

Wow, I guess I'm a little late for this. Still, a few thoughts:

1) It was probably really obvious to some people, but I got really excited when Kathryn bumped into the guy that looked like either a coach or school gym teacher while confronting Mary Margaret and proceeded to yell "OMG, THAT'S FREDERICK!!!" It scared my parents. XD
1a) Speaking of Frederick, I can't believe it took me THIS long to remember/piece together that he was the same knight that King Midas referred to in an older episode (the Charming-centered one). When I finally thought about it, I went back to watch that segment where King George and King Midas make the deal regarding the dragon to make sure.
1b) I really hope the Storybrooke equivalent of Frederick finds Kathryn and they can get together somehow. That would make the inner romantic in me very happy.

2) I'm so glad my suspicions were wrong about Abigail. I was afraid she'd be like the Evil Queen was last week and have an evil ulterior motive behind her actions.
2a) On a more shallow note, I liked her outfit this episode. Not sure why, but it's more flattering on her than the one she wore when she was first introduced.

3) Thank goodness that adultery subplot is pretty much done. Not sure if that's what the writers were going for, but I just felt badly for Kathryn and wanted to throw things at both MM and David. The complete opposite of how I feel about Snow/Charming.

4) Two weeks until the next episode? *sigh*

That's all I can think of.

Really great episode again! I don't have any insights to add except that the music in this episode was really gorgeous. I can't wait till they release the scores.

I guess what didn't make sense to me was that she would have to have done it during the day, where people could potentially see her. Or was there a night that passed in between and I just didn't catch that? I need to re-watch. :)

I've calmed down a bit since Sunday night and David is not completely 'unredeemable' but at this point, who knows what the writers have planned for him.

I'm still watching this 'confusing' and nerve-wracking show!! :D

Thank you. I couldn't see well on my TV during the night-time scenes, and so I wasn't 100% sure Frederick was also the coach/gym teacher/guy who went looking for Kathryn at the end. (Okay, he needs a name. I nominate "Froderick" until the show says otherwise.)

Good point. I don't know if there was a night in between or not.
