Hiatus Hijinx Monday Rewind That Still Small Voice
The story of Jiminy Cricket and how he came to be.
Here is the summery from ABC publicity
As Sheriff Graham deputizes Emma, the ground shakes and a giant sinkhole mysteriously appears at the edge of town. But a curious Henry's life is placed in danger when he decides to explore the innards of the sinkhole to see if its contents can link the inhabitants of Storybrooke to the fairytale world. Meanwhile, back in the fairytale world, Jiminy Cricket yearns to leave the family business and transform into the person he wants to be.
Again a few questions to start the discussion.
1. Did you see this live or was it later?
2.What do you remember most about the episode?
3.Did you find anything surprising when you rewatched it? Like “Oh that’s where they set that up” or “I had forgotten that ______ happened here”
4. How sorry did you feel for Jiminy as events unfolded?
5. How about those parents? Do you think they were his parents or did they just pick him up and run off with him?
6. Graham decided to give Emma a job thus keeping her around. How ticked do you think Regina was with Graham?
7. Henry found himself in a very dangerous situation of his own making in the mines trying to prove that he was not crazy and right. What do you think might have prevented him from this action?
8. Regina does have to deal with that she is pretty much powerless to save Henry. Do you think she thought of how easy it would be if she had magic? And do you think this is one of the first times she had found herself in this position?
9. What did you think on the revel on who the child was of the parents turned into puppets? And how creeped out do you get now every time you see them in Mr. Gold’s Pawn Shop?
10. What did you like best about this episode and what stuck with you afterwards?

Live!
2.What do you remember most about the episode?
A couple things - the moment that the magic bottle from Rumple backfired on Jiminy :o and Regina getting all in Emma's face at th emine.
3.Did you find anything surprising when you rewatched it? Like “Oh that’s where they set that up” or “I had forgotten that ______ happened here”
I always forget what Jiminy's parents were like! So when I re-watch the episode, I get to love to hate them all over again. :p
4. How sorry did you feel for Jiminy as events unfolded?
I felt horrible for him; I think they told a very relate-able story for him. We've all had moments with family where we're very "WTF, this isn't what I want for MY life!"
5. How about those parents? Do you think they were his parents or did they just pick him up and run off with him?
You know, I'd never thought of that!
6. Graham decided to give Emma a job thus keeping her around. How ticked do you think Regina was with Graham?
I'm sure Regina was LIVID! Both because Graham knew she was threatened by and hated Emma AND because Regina knew her curse was weakening if he could do that.
7. Henry found himself in a very dangerous situation of his own making in the mines trying to prove that he was not crazy and right. What do you think might have prevented him from this action?
Nothing much. Henry's a stubborn kid like his moms. :)
8. Regina does have to deal with that she is pretty much powerless to save Henry. Do you think she thought of how easy it would be if she had magic? And do you think this is one of the first times she had found herself in this position?
I do think this was likely a first, given how we - later - see how mundane life was in Storybrooke. We know she and Henry weren't getting along, that she had him in therapy, but I don't think things had ever escalated so far that he was in danger (until he'd run away to find Emma).
9. What did you think on the revel on who the child was of the parents turned into puppets? And how creeped out do you get now every time you see them in Mr. Gold’s Pawn Shop?
That's so creepy that Gold has them sitting there in his shop. OMG. :o
10. What did you like best about this episode and what stuck with you afterwards?
I liked the adventure of the episode, the town having to come together to save Henry and Archie. I liked the play between Emma and Regina and how hot/cold Regina ran toward her through the episode. It was great character development for Archie, too, to get him to where he could stand up to Regina. :)

Live
2.What do you remember most about the episode?
That there were no crickets in Storybrooke until after Emma rescued Henry and Archie.
3.Did you find anything surprising when you rewatched it? Like “Oh that’s where they set that up” or “I had forgotten that ______ happened here”
I noticed that Regina dropped a piece of Snow's casket down into the mine and remembered that Maleficent was down there.
4. How sorry did you feel for Jiminy as events unfolded?
Very. He wanted to do the right thing but his parents were nutjobs and selfish.
5. How about those parents? Do you think they were his parents or did they just pick him up and run off with him?
I think they were his parents but they had him so they'd have someone to do their grunt work. I don't think they saw him as their son but simply someone who would do the things they didn't want to do.
6. Graham decided to give Emma a job thus keeping her around. How ticked do you think Regina was with Graham?
Extremely ticked off. Regina was trying so hard to get rid of Emma and Graham gave her the means to stay.
7. Henry found himself in a very dangerous situation of his own making in the mines trying to prove that he was not crazy and right. What do you think might have prevented him from this action?
If he hadn't overheard Emma saying that what he believed about the book was crazy, I doubt he would have gone searching for something to prove to her that he was right.
8. Regina does have to deal with that she is pretty much powerless to save Henry. Do you think she thought of how easy it would be if she had magic? And do you think this is one of the first times she had found herself in this position?
I think Regina was wishing with all her heart that she had magic to save him. This probably was the first time she was not in control and I think it scared the shit out of her.
9. What did you think on the revel on who the child was of the parents turned into puppets? And how creeped out do you get now every time you see them in Mr. Gold’s Pawn Shop?
I was genuinely surprised that it was Marco. Yet, it made sense. Jiminy/Archie would try to somehow make up for the fact that he was partly responsible for their "deaths".
Those puppets creep the bejeesus out of me every time I see them.
10. What did you like best about this episode and what stuck with you afterwards?
That Regina knew Emma was the only who would risk her own safety to save Henry.
The thing that stuck with me was Archie finally standing up to Regina. I really liked him for doing that.
