One question about August W. Booth.

I'm currently re-watching Season 01. This autumn I'm able to watch Season 02 for the first time. [Yaaaaaaaay!] Re-watching Season 01 made me think of a question I have for months now. But so far I didn't get any answer. (Or did I just missed that?!) So I hope you can answer me. :o)

How does August know that Emma was in Storybrooke?

I only remember that he told Emma that he started changing (into wood) again when Emma was in Storybrooke. But how does he know that Emma was in Storybrooke? She could be anywhere. ;D Does anybody know?!

If I understand correctly, it was the moment the curse started weakening. The curse wouldn’t have started weakening unless Emma (the savior) was in Storybrooke. So, August knew that turning into wood meant the curse was weakening (why, I'm not sure?), and weakening curse meant that Emma was in Storybrooke.

Yes, that's true. :o) But how does August know where Emma was in this moment?? She could be in New York or somewhere else. That's the thing I'm wondering about. He went to Storybrooke like he always knew that the town was there. Maybe that was also a reason why he stole the book from Henry?!

I think because the curse could only weaken with Emma in Storybrooke. If she was in New York, it wouldn't haven weakened.

As for your new question, I can't give you my guess without a spoiler for season 2.
