Next week...the Crocodile

Next week...promises to answer questions - or at least raise questions - about how time works in the other world...

Based on the end-of-episode preview: Mr. Gold runs into Captain Hook in Storybrooke...and also ran into Hook before gaining the powers of the Dark One.

(or had he figured out how to make the Dark One quiet down & look like a normal man? hm...could this be part of Rumplestiltskin's escape from the battlefield that we heard about when we first met Bae and Zoso(sp?))

I watched CTV promo, too, but I can't recall what was in each promo, so I'm not sure which I'm referencing and if you don't want CTV refs, here's your warning.

I think it has to be before he is the Dark One for his normal-looking-self. Given Rumpel's sort of self-loathing for what he used be - for being powerless and afraid - I can't see him playing that part. Then again, Zoso basically did that, so I could be way off base.

Since the only pre-Dark-One events I know of for Rumpel are running away from battle and his wife leaving, I wondered if his wife left him for Hook. I tend to think he'd be younger when running away, even if 14-year-olds weren't fighting then.

I was thinking Hook had his own non-agingness because of Neverland. I guess we don't know that it'll be that way, though.

I've been wondering about the whole time/age issue. However, Hook kind of gets a free pass right? No one in Neverland ever ages. Well in the original story its said that the fairies age and die, but the boys never do. In the most recent Neverland series it was clear none of the humans aged at all. So....if we're in Neverland at all, or if Hook spends time there inbetween Rumple meetings there, him not aging completely makes sense.
