Episode Discussion 2x11: The Outsider

Mr. Gold finds an unwilling test subject to see if a spell he has concocted will allow him to cross the border of Storybrooke — without losing his memory — and go in search of his son, Bae; Belle stumbles upon a vengeful Hook in the Storybrooke harbor whose main goal is to eradicate Rumplestiltskin; and Mary Margaret and David go house hunting in search of a bigger place to live. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Belle meets Mulan as the two set out to slay a fearsome beast called the Yaoguai, who has been ravaging the land.

The fact that Belle didn't get pissed off at Rumpel for lying to her about Hook and Milah . . . pissed me off. It's one thing that she loves him, despite his flaws. It's another when she doesn't call him on his lying bullshit.

The ending just broke my heart :'(

WTF is going to happen to Belle after this?? I mean, there has to be a way for her to remember everything again. While I admire Belle's deep faith & love for Rumple (I don't even ship them, but I can see the love there), I do think she should call him out on his shit more often. He lied to her about killing Milah (his ex-wife & mother of his son) and yet Belle didn't confront him about this information. Ugh. Other than that, though, I do love Belle's character and hope she gets out of this crappy situation soon.

I feel for Belle and Rumpel. I'm sure they'll figure something out in the future. :) The only thing that annoyed me was how Snow was behaving this episode. I understand why she wouldn't want to go back, but not wanting to restore her kingdom is b.s. What's the point of being Snow, if she's just going to hang on to Mary Margaret.
